Dr. Janak Mehta passed his M.B.,B.S. from Bombay University in the year 1981 and completed his post graduation in Ophthalmology (eyesurgery) from famous C.H.Nagari eye hospital (K.M.School of medical research & post graduation) affiliated with Gujarat University in the year 1985. He then went to London Moorfield Eye hospital, England for Oculoplasty and to Moscow, Russia to get trained for refractive surgeries. He started his own private eye hospital in Rajkot in 1986.

He was first to start Radial Keratotomy in Rajkot in 1987 and also first to do Laser(PRK) in 1995. He was also first to do Lasik in Rajkot and has always updated to newer modalities. While he was attached to many hospitals in the beginning, and performed many cataract & other surgeries free of cost in many camps.

Our aim is to serve our community with his huge experience in the field of refractive surgery & provide latest technological benefit to the patients and avoiding unnecessary gimmick of industry giving value for money the patients pay.

“To work is to worship” and this is the motto we have learnt from father Dr.Vasantbhai Mehta who served humanity through out his life.

My son Dr.Pragn Mehta has also joined his post graduation in Ophthalmology (Eye Surgery) in April 2014.

He is Director of Myopia surgery Center & Dream Vision Laser Center.
